The girls’ softball team has had a delayed start to their season due to weather, but they are preparing for what is hoped for to be a great season. The softball team is spending six days a week practicing for their first official game on March 17.
Most of the girls have been playing since they were little, so they will continue to play the only way they know how.
“Although this is the youngest team I’ve seen in my five years,” says team member Kelsey Garrett, “the team is feeling pretty well about the season. We plan on being successful this year. I’m feeling pretty confident.”
The girls love practicing and learning from their new coaches, Lelia Huffman and Mike Garrett.
The team hopes to reap the benefits of the hard work they have put in.
