Project Graduation is a celebration organized by the principals of East and West Jessamine High Schools together to promote safety for seniors right after walking across the Southland stage. This project is community sponsored and is largely approved by parents because it is alcohol and drug free. Project Graduation is going to be at West this year, and it will last from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The graduates will be checked at the entrance of the school for illegal substances and alcohol, and they won’t be able to leave the building all night. Project Graduation is also an opportunity for seniors to spend time together, conclude their high school experiences safely, socialize and get ready for the new chapter of their lives.
