Boyd’s Orchard- Boyd’s Orchard is our local pumpkin patch where you can do things like going on hayrides, picking your own fruit and going through corn mazes. Through the month of October they are holding 8 different festivals to attend with your family and friends. Fright Nights at Waveland- Fright Night, previously found at Jacobson Park and Walker Farm, is now opening a new branch at Waveland. It features three different parks: the Waveland Mansion, the Meat House, and the Torture Chambers. You can buy a regular admission pass to all 3 of them for $29.75 or a fastpass for $39.75.

Fright Night- The Y-Club is throwing their first ever Fright Night on the evening of Halloween. It is only $5 for a child and $8 for an adult. They will be playing two Halloween classics, Hotel Transylvania and Young Frankenstein. They will have popcorn, cotton candy and other refreshments for sale. There will also be two costume contests, one for children and one for teens, so make sure to come in your best costumes.

The Mousetrap Preview- West Jessamine Student’s will be putting on a performance of the play The Mousetrap in mid November. It’s a murder-mystery based out of Britain in the 1950’s, and it was written by Agatha Christie. More details are coming in next month’s paper, but prepare yourselves for this masterpiece of a show.
