Some of you may know that we have several new faces on staff this year. This section of the newspaper allows you to get to know them!
Mrs. Blanton is an Algebra 1 teacher. She used to teach 6th grade at East Middle School. However, she is clearly no longer a Jaguar! When asked what led her to teach, Mrs. Blanton responds, “Ms. Smith gave me the inspiration to teach in general”. Blanton graduated from Eastern Kentucky University. She went to college for 6 years in total, 4 for her bachelors and 2 for her masters. She wanted to teach at West because she went to school here. She is happy to work at a school with high expectations. She says, “I love teaching here, everyday is different overall!” We are happy that this new Colt staff member is sharing her math knowledge with us!
